It might be better to use snap.com to preview domain names rather than visting them with frames.

Frames doesn't protect the visitor from scripting and other possible damage inflicted by those seeking to create a bad experience for site visitors.

Good idea. My take would be to use snap.com for the domains that haven't generated in the frame yet.

If OpenDNS doesn't want to use snap.com and would like to be self-sufficient, more power to them, but find a way to implement the preview thumbnail as securely as possible.

I don't know much about the risks from scripting in frames but I could see where there could be a risk.

I don't particularly like Snap previews. If OpenDNS could come to an agreement with say GooglePreview, that would be more acceptable.

I don't know if this also applies to the snapshots themselves, but http://www.snap.com/ seems to need Windows specific plugins? Apart from that I like the idea, and share the concern.

What is wrong with the current screenshots?

Are you talking about thumbnail images which are displayed on search results (OpenDNS Guide) pages?

while not a perfect solution, another option would be to add a security attribute to the frame:

This is somewhat same idea with me.
