If you vote 'yes' on a category that you are also blocking, then automatically add it to your blacklist. The idea is if you catch DNS traffic on your network and submit it to the database, you don't have to wait for that particular domain to go through the validation process.

submitting/voting users ought have a much MUCH longer blacklist potential

It could work, only if OpenDNS at the moment of tagging that site could remove it from the list of blocked sites, and only if the tagged site is in a category you have blocked.

The SQL comparisons needed to support this feature could be easily implemented and would make OpenDNS not only more popular, but very likely the best managed DNS service on the globe - because it turns over another layer of the industrial features to everyone. Market direction wise, this would be great - and certainly very useful!

I think this is a great idea, particularly as it takes so long for adult websites to get approved.

should be easy enough, If OpenDNS can keep track of how I vote then it shouldn't be too much of a hastle to program it to apply the setting to my accout.
