It would be nice to be able to log into my account via OpenID instead of using a user name and password.

I have given this suggestion before. And good thing this IdeaBank. Because OpenID would be a great feature to OpenDNS. And please support the latest protocol.

And, of course, users who are already signed up would need to be able to associate OpenIDs with their accounts...

I TOTALY agree!

This would be pretty sweet and probably get you some good attention. Not that many sites accept openID yet so the one's that do are heavily appreciated by openID users.

I will vote for this as well. Seems to me like the two would go hand in hand.

I'm agree with this idea. I have headache to handle a lot of user-ids

OpenID on a free open project such as OpenDNS would be great promotion for both ideas.

People who say that maintaining a user/pass is a big chore can be quite annoying. Particularly if you follow the guideline of having an individual password per website. OpenID simplifies all that. And each individual OpenID is for a different person maintaining individual accounts.

OpenID has gained a lot of traction in the last year. It's worth adding OpenID support to OpenDNS, and it may attract more folks to OpenDNS and to domain tagging.

The only problem with OpenID Is that if someone hacks it they have everything you use that OpenID for! Keep your accounts separate with separate passwords for each site.

I would prefer to use OpenId over your current authentication method. It would result in one fewer account I have to keep track of!
