For some networks, the current "all-or-nothing" approach to blocking categories works fine. For others, it would be useful to apply a bit more finesse in shaping the filter profile.
Information from the total votes, "Not Sure" votes, length of voting, repeat submissions, etc., could be used to indirectly rate a given site as strongly or weakly in-category. In each category, we could tune our preferences to block strong or weak category members - or both, of course.

I think noobs would understand a rating something like flea bays old method. Just in this case more like:
Yes
-------------------
Yes + Not Sure + No
= Confidence Level or What ever OpenDNS might like to name it.
Or a simple X% voted Yes, Y% voted No, Z% are Not Sure
The biggest problem with ratings is that not enough users bother taking any time to vote or sumbit names. If the number of votes on any one domain name is low then any rating system would be subject to accuracy of a few voters. I like the idea and voted yes. But I personally feel the domain sould have 10+ votes before any rating. And for myself I wouldn't consider a rating accurate until 50 or more votes. Thats still 2 points of leverage for each voter.

A confidence level would be helpful, but it may make the voting and rating process more difficult for n00bs.
