Commenting on domain tagging would allow to inform those that would come behind to be informed about the domains that are backend domains for services so they dont miss flag incorrectly.

Would it be better to let people give a reasons for blocking, instead of comment? Was just thinking.
I think this would be a great addition for the voting process. There are many ideas out in the bank related to speeding up the submission, and voting process. When I look at the list of domains, I don't have an idea of what they are, I have to give a Don't know answer (or I skip). If there was a comment of what it is then, I could make a faster better informed decision. The more yes/no votes the faster the approval process will be and the faster the list will grow.

Only reason I have for this is some of Mark's submissions under Adware category I have to ask why... Would have liked to know why...
@mindlesstux- You certainly have a point. I am in agreement. Some of my submissions may have been better categorized under Advertising. Regarding the Adware category, I agree with this Idea: http://ideabank.opendns.com/story.php?title=Category_for_Advertisers_versus_AdwareMalware_sites
I also submitted an Idea to help remove goof ups and incorrect submissions: http://ideabank.opendns.com/story.php?title=Edit_or_Remove_Function_for_Submitter_of_Mis-Labeled_Domains-1

I agree 100% with this idea!
The natural evolution of this system is going in this direction, I think that's completely obvious to all of us. I'm speaking for the IT managers that rely on OpenDNS for content filtering, when I say we need fine control on the services we are able to offer to our clients. As simple y/n/maybe isn't going to suffice for too long. Here is an example of a comment I would have posted if there was a comments system on domain tagging:
Yahoo.com is arguably the #1 email provider in the world today. Logging into webmail consists of going to yahoo.com or www.yahoo.com, and clicking on the Mail link. This link takes you to login.yahoo.com.
Some people may go directly to mail.yahoo.com to login right away, but as you'll see this forwards to login.yahoo.com to login to webmail.
I feel by this logic, login.yahoo.com should be tagged as "webmail", and yahoo.com and www.yahoo.com should not be tagged as "webmail". This will allow IT admins the ability to block the "webmail" category and leave the "search engines" category open, knowing their users will be able to search the web using Yahoo all they want, while access to Yahoo's webmail is blocked.
Currently, login.yahoo.com has been rejected as "webmail", and I would have liked to have the ability to post this comment on the http://domain.opendns.com/login.yahoo.com page. The discussion could possibly become lengthy on this one, so it would be a shame to not have the proper forum to discuss!
This also brings up another idea, the ability to submit "override votes" to update the domain tagging system according to DNS admins changing the sub-domains for specific services. This would also apply to the "parked domains" tag, as a legitimate site that goes live will need to be untagged as "parked".
I've submitted this idea here:
http://ideabank.opendns.com/story.php?title=Ability_to_submit_override_votes_to_update_a_domains_tag-1
This idea is fantastic. For instance,
I submitted acmesecuritysystems.com in the 'Movies' category because it's part of a viral marketing campaign from Warner Brothers for the new Batman movie. As are josephcandoloro.com and ccfabg.org and clowntravelagency.com
Having a comment section at the domain tagging page itself would help folks not have to do the research I did to categorize these sites.

At least there should be a place to put in a supporting URL (rather than just the domain). With a hosting service, if you start at the top you would not necessarily find an offending page, but it came up through a search engine...

Many porn sites have the offending content sitting on domains that have a parked domain placeholder as their index page. The dodgy content is not accessible via links from that index page, but is reached via links from other sites. If you could add a link to one of the offending pages, then reviewers of the domain could easily see it for what it is, rather than as just a parked domain.
i think the domain tagging situation is horrible, it seems like a number of users are treating the submission of domains like a contest and are adding any domain and category just to increase there number, i have voted on 100 domains, and at least 20 of them where actually the right category, the rest where off, not just a little off, but completely off.
I think it would be helpful to supply an alternate category if you vote NO to a given domain. Some martial arts sites for example might be listed under weapons, when sports might be a better fit. The voting could then be between 2 or 3 categories.

I agree that being able to comment on the Domain Tagging page (the page that includes the screenshot, e.g. http://domain.opendns.com/yahoo.com) is an excellent idea. Could help communicate things about the domain that would be useful.
